The communication section contains three panels, the Chat panel, the
Questions panel, and the
User Information panel. To switch between these panels, click the tabs at the top of the communication section.
In the example below, the chat function is moderated and the user does not have the floor. As a result, (chat is currently disabled) appears in the space where you would normally type your messages to the others in the chat room, and the field is grayed out.
In the example below, the user has been given the floor by the instructor (or the chat feature is unmoderated). Messages from all users appear in the large white window, preceded by the user's name. To "speak" to the group, type in the single-line field beneath. To send your message to the group, hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
