Tools in on your group page work exactly the same as tools on the general course site. The most significant difference is that these tools are available only to members of your group and your instructor. This means that while the Group Discussion Board looks and acts the same as the course site
Discussion Board section, only group members and your instructor can read and post messages there.
Similarly, the group Virtual Classroom works like the course site's
Virtual Classroom, except that it is exclusive to members of your group, and the Send E-mail feature works like the course site's
Send E-mail feature (found in the
Communication section), except that it may only be used to send email to your fellow group members and/or your instructor.
The only exception to this is the
File Exchange section, which is only slightly different from the
Digital Dropbox (in the
Student Tools section).
At the bottom of the Group Page, you will find a list of your group's members with their email address (if public). Clicking on the group member's name will take you to the group member's Knowledge homepage. You will learn more about creating a Knowledge homepage in your second session Health Informatics course.
