SUPERSTITION

I HAVE A T-SHIRT THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY SOME FRIEND I
WORK WITH. BUT EVERYTIME I'VE WORN THAT SHIRT UNDER MY
HOCKEY EQUIPMENT, I'VE HAD TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY WARD
AT THE HOSPITAL. FIRST I GOT A CUT UNDER THE CHIN AND
FIVE STITCHES WERE NEEDED TO STOP THE BLEEDING. TWO
WEEKS LATER (ON 04121979) I GOT A STICK ACROSS THE NOSE.
THIS TIME NO STICHES WERE NEEDED, BUT I SPENT THREE
HOURS IN THE HOSPITAL BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GO HOME AT 2:30 AM.
I HAVE DECIDED TO RETURN THE SHIRT, AND IF HE DOESN'T WANT
IT, IT WILL BE BURNED.

Language

Tongue Twister:

Betty Botta bought some butter. "But," she said, "this butter's bitter. If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter. But a bit o' better butter will but make my batter better." So she bought a bit o' butter, better than the bitter butter, made her bitter batter better. So 'twas better Betty Botta bought a bit o' better butter.
