Founding of the Incan Empire
The Four Ayar brothers came out of the sea. On the way
to Cuzco, one by one three of them died. One of them,
Manco Capac makes it and he finds the Empire with
the help of the Sun God. (Inti) So Manco Capac is
the first Inca.

In Peru summer begins in January and goes until March.
January is also the beginning of Lent, which begins
the Carnival that lasts the entire summer. During the
Carnival there is throwing of water balloons and sometimes
eggs. It is really quite dangerous to go out walking during
this time, unless you would like to get attacked by water
balloons.

Belief
The pishtace are nocturnal murderers of Indians. The pishtaco murder Indians in order to obtain human fat to be sold as lubricants for machinery and to be used in pharmacuticals.
The legend derives from 16th and 17th centurey Spanish practices of using human body fats as treatment for wounds and diseases. the people who tell this tale are poor Indians and the pishtaco are usually wealthy industrial men in the area. The tale helps draw lines of social class.
