Mr. Dunderback

There was an old man from Germany
His name was Dunderback
He opened up a butcher-shop
To sell sauerkraut and fat.
One day this Mr. Dunderback
Invented a machine
For grinding all the cats and dogs
To sausage meat so fine.

Chorus: O-oh, Mr. Dunderback, ain't you awful mean?
Ain't you awful sorry you invented that machine?
For the long-tailed rats and the pussycats
No longer can be seen,
They've all been ground to sausgage-meat
In Dunderback's machine.

One day a little boy came, a-walking in the shop,
He ordered him a head of cheese,
And walked around the room,
And while he was a'waitin',
He whistled a merry tune,
And all the cats and the long-tailed rats,
Came skippin' around the room.

Chorus

One day something the matter was,
The machine, it wouldn't go.
So, Dunderback, He climbed inside
To see what made it so.
Now, Mrs. Dunderback had been walking in her sleep,
She gave the machine an awful crank,
And Dunderback was meat!

Chorus

An Irish Lullaby

Sleep, o babe, for the red bee hums,
The silent twilight's fall,
Eval from the grey rock comes
To wrap the world inthrall.
A lyan van o, my child, my joy,
My love and heart's desire,
The crickets sing you lullaby
Beside the dying fire.

Dusk is drawn and the green man's thorn
Is wreathed in rings of fog.
Sheevra sails his boat 'til morn
Upon the starry bog.
A lyan van o, the pal'y moon
Has wrapped her cusp in dew
And weeps to hear the sad sleep tune
I sing, oh, love, to you.

Here We Are

Here we are, all together as we sing our song, joyfully.
Here we are, joined together as we pray we'll always be.

Little Maggie

Oh, yonder stands Little Maggie,
With a dram glass in her hand.
She's drinking away her troubles Lord,
And courting another man.

Pretty flowers were made for blooming,
Pretty stars were made to shine.
Pretty girls were made for boys to love,
Surely Maggie was made for mine.

Oh, how can I ever stand it,
To see them two blue eyes.
They shine just like diamonds Lord,
Like the diamonds in the sky.

Sometimes I have a nickel Lord,
Sometimes I have a dime.
Sometimes I have ten dollars,
Just to pay Little Maggie's fine.

Oh, they marched me down to the station,
With my suitcase in my hand.
I'm going away for to leave you my love,
I'm going to a far distant land.

Dun ta dun ta dun
Oh Mary Lou and Suzie Q

Your feet, your feet
They may stink, stink, stink
Oh Mary Lou and Suzie Q.

Your eyes, your eyes may shine
But not as bright as your behind
Oh Mary Lou and Suzie Q.

Your ears, your ears
Look like some dog gone spears

Your lips, your lips
Look like potato chips

Your nose, your nose
Looks like a water hose.

Oh Mary Lou and Suzie Q

Your head, your head
Looks like a Walker red. (wine)

What makes you frisky?
They call it whiskey.
What makes you fool?
They call it black bull. (whiskey)

What makes you high?
Let's take some jive.

Little Miss Bright

There was a young girl named Miss Bright,
Who could travel much faster than light.
She departed one day,
In an Einsteinian way,
And came back on the previous night.

Submitter comment:

This verse is one remembered from high school days (1968) in a physics class. Its meaning lies in Einstein's theory of relativity and the fact that if one goes faster than velocity of light, one will go back in time.
