To cure a sore throat or a cold, sulphur powder
was placed on a feather. The feather was placed
in the back of the throat and the person administering
the treatment would blow the sulphur onto the throat.

Submitter comment: Mrs. Wolf's mother routinely used this procedure when
she was growing up.
