PADIDDLE
I AM NOT SURE OF THE SPELLING, BUT THIS IS THE WAY THE WORD IS
PRONOUNCED AND IT INDICATES A CAR WITH ONLY ONE OPERATIVE
HEADLIGHT. WHEN YOU ARE WITH A GIRL YOU GET TO KISS HER IF YOU SEE
SUCH A CAR AND YELL OUT PADIDDLE BEFORE SHE DOES. IF SHE DOES, SHE
GETS TO HIT YOU IN THE ARM.
ALSO GIRLS KEEP COUNT OF HOW MANY SUCH CARS THEY SEE BY THEM-
SELVES. THE FIRST BOY THEY SEE WHEN THEY HIT FIVE HUNDRED IS
SUPPOSED TO BE THE BOY THEY WILL MARRY.
A "GERONIMO" IS A CAR WHICH HAS ONE LIGHT BRIGHTER THAN THE
OTHER DUE TO AN ACCIDENT OR ONE ON WHICH THE HEADLIGHT FAILS
AS YOU ARE WATCHING IT.
Submitter comment:
THE FIRST TIME I EVER HEARD THIS WAS IN THE EIGHTH GRADE. I
BELIEVE IT WAS IN A MOVIE WITH JAMES DEAN. AFTER THAT SOMEONE
EXPLAINED IT TO ME AND I HAVE HEARD IT COUNTLESS TIMES SINCE
THAT IN DETROIT.

FIRST STREELIGHT GAME
WHEN THE FIRST STREETLIGHT COMES ON, YOU
ARE TO YELL OUT, ZERO, FIRST STREETLIGHT.
ANOTHER PERSON SHOUTS, ZERO, SECOND
STREETLIGHT. THE PERSON WHO SAYS, ZERO,
THIRD STREETLIGHT, GETS HIT BY THE REST
OF THE GROUP.
Submitter comment:
WE USED TO PLAY THIS EVERY NIGHT WHEN
THE STREETLIGHT WOULD COME ON. THEN
EVERYBODY CAUGHT ON AND WE WOULD HAVE TO
COMPEL SOMEONE TO TAKE THE THIRD PART
SO THE GAME COULD FINISH AND WE COULD SWAT SOMEONE.

BUG AUTOMOBILE GAME
THIS GAME IS PLAYED IN THE CAR ON THE EXPRESSWAY DURING A LONG TRIP
TO MAKE IT LESS BORING. WHEN YOU THINK YOU SEE A VOLKSWAGEN BUG YOU
YELL OUT BUG FOLLOWED BY ITS COLOR. THE FIRST PERSON TO FINISH
SAYING BUG GETS ONE POINT. VOLKSWAGEN RABBITS OR BUSES DO NOT
COUNT. IF YOU YELL OUT BUG AND THERE IS NONE YOU LOSE ONE POINT,
UNLESS YOU THOUGHT A RABBIT OR BUS WAS A BUG IN WHICH CASE YOUR SCOR
STAYS THE SAME. IF THE DRIVER IS SPEEDING HE MIGHT MAKE A STATE
HIGHWAY PATROL OR COP WORTH THREE POINTS AND A COUNTY MOUNTY WORTH
TWO POINTS. YOU DO NOT LOSE POINTS FOR MISTAKEN COPS. PARKED
VOLKSWAGENS OR DEAD BUGS ARE WORTH ONE HALF POINT BUT VOLKSWAGEN
DEALERSHIPS DO NOT COUNT. ONE STRATEGY WHEN YOU SEE A FIAT OR
CHEVETTE IN THE DISTANCE IS TO YELL OUT BUS OR BU HOPING THE OTHER
PERSON WILL YELL OUT BUG MISTAKENLY AND LOSE A POINT.

Slug Bug
When I was in Hawaii with friends a friend of mine
(one of them) suggested we play a game. It was called
slug bug. This is where you must look out for
Volkswagen Beetles / Bugs, call the color of the
car, then hit the person next to you in the arm. In
Hawaii this can become a very challenging and painful
game since there are so many of these cars. You
must have quick eyes and a liking of pain to play
this game in a large group of people.
