Need to keep student submissions after the end of a course? Prefer to grade offline -- even on paper -- but like the convenience of collecting assignments online? You'll be pleased to hear you can download all your students submissions for an assignment easily from the Grade Center.
To download assignments go to the Grade Center, then click the options button to the right of the column's label.
Choose ASSIGNMENT FILE DOWNLOAD from the column options menu.
This will take you to a page which lists all students in the class, indicating whether they have submitted the assignment in question, and what it's status is. Click the checkbox in the table's heading area to select all the students who have an assignment that may be downloadd (or individually check the students whose assignments you wish to download). Then click SUBMIT.
Depending on the number and size of files, it may take a few minutes for your request to be processed. Once your files are ready, you'll be provided with a link to a zip file. Click the link to download the file.
Once downloaded, you can view the zip folder's contents on your PC, or extract the zipped files to a new folder for editing.
Each student will have two files: their assignment (re-named to include the assignment name, the student's Blackboard username, the date and time of their submission, and their original file name) and a text file (similarly named) that include student comments and grade information.
