TALL TALE
ONE TIME A FRIEND ASKED MY FATHER IF HE COULD SEND SOMEONE
TO MILK HIS COWS THAT NIGHT BECAUSE HE WOULD BE GONE. MY FATHER
SAID HE WOULD SEND ME. THE FRIEND SAID TO TAKE AS MUCH MILK AS
WE NEEDED IN PAYMENT. THAT EVENING I MILKED HIS COWS AND TOOK A
GALLON BUCKET OF MILK BACK WITH ME. I WAS WALKING HOME WITH MY
LITTLE BROTHER WITH ME BY THE HAND. IT WAS DARK ALREADY. I HEARD A HOWL
FROM A WOLF. I LOOKED AROUND AND SAW A BIG GRAY WOLF TROT-
TING BEHIND US. I STARTED TO WALK A LITTLE FASTER DRAGGING MY
LITTLE BROTHER WITH ME SINCE HE COULDN'T KEEP UP. I LOOKED AGAIN
AND THE WOLF WAS GETTING CLOSER. WHEN I SAW THAT, I STARTED OUT
LIKE LIGHTNING. I WAS RUNNING SO FAST THAT MY LITTLE BROTHER WAS
DANGLING BEHIND ME, HOLDING ON TO MY HAND. HIS FEET DIDN'T TOUCH
THE GROUND MORE THAN TWICE ALL THE REST OF THE WAY HOME, THAT'S
HOW FAST I WAS RUNNING.

MYSTERIOUS LIGHT
THERE IS A MYSTERIOUS LIGHT THAT EXISTS ON A LONELY DIRT ROAD OFF
OF I_94 EXPRESSWAY ON THE WAY TO ANN ARBOR. THIS LIGHT IS MYSTERIOUS
IN THE SENSE THAT IT IS INVISIBLE UNTIL ONE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD
COMES TO THE STOP WERE THE LIGHT IS. THEN THE LIGHT APPEARS AND
SURROUNDS THE ENTIRE CAR. A FRIEND OF MINE (WHOSE NAME I CAN NOT
REMEMBER) WENT TO SEE THIS LIGHT AND FOUND IT.
THE ONLY TROUBLE IS THAT WHEN THE LIGHT APPEARED IT WAS TOO LATE TO
AVOID IT AND IT ENGULFED THE CAR AND SUPPOSEDLY SINGED THE PAINT
OF THE CAR.

THE BELLE ISLE GHOST
IF YOU ARE EVER IN THE MOOD TO FIND A GHOST YOU CAN TRY OUT THE
LEGEND OF THE BELLE ISLE GHOST. JUST GO TO BELLE ISLE AT NIGHT AND
TAKE THE ROAD THAT RUNS THROUGH THE GROVE OF TREES ON BELLE ISLE.
FOLLOW THE ROAD UNTIL YOU COME TO A PART IN THE ROAD WITH WOODEN
POSTS ON BOTH SIDES. STOP THERE AND TURN YOUR CAR LIGHTS OFF FOR A
FEW SECONDS AND THEN TURN THEM ON AGAIN. A SLIM WOMAN IN A FLOWING
WHITE GOWN WILL APPEAR. YOU'LL WONDER WHAT IS SO SCAREY ABOUT HER
FOR SHE LOOKS PRETTY GOOD UNTIL SHE GETS UP TO YOUR WINDOW AND YOU
GET A GOOD LOOK AT HER FACE WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOST
FRIGHTENING FACE TO LOOK UPON.

YEARLY GROWTH
WHILE ATTENDING A COUSIN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY, MY UNCLE JACK PLACED MY
COUSIN AGAINST THE DOOR JAM IN THE KITCHEN, TOOK OUT HIS KNIFE AND
NOTCHED MY COUSIN,S HEIGHT. LOOKING CLOSELY, I NOTICED THAT THE
HEIGHTS OF ALL THE FAMILY MEMBERS (6) WERE NOTCHED ON THE MOULDING
PIECE. ALSO, THEY WERE MARKED WITH THE APPROPRIATE BIRTHDATE. THUS
A RECORD OF GROWTH AND FINAL HEIGHT COULD BE MEASURED AND SAVED. I
HAVE ALSO NOTICED THIS CUSTOM IN OTHER HOMES SINCE THEN.
