UPPER PENINSULA, MICHIGAN

THE ROCKS ON THE UPPER PENINSULA ARE CONSIDERED SACRED AND
HAUNTED. THE INDIANS BELIEVED THIS BECAUSE NOTHING LIVES THERE
AND THE VEGETATION IS SPARSE. THE INDIANS ALSO FEARED THIS PLACE
BECAUSE LIGHTNING STRUCK THE ROCKS SO OFTEN.
