FISHER AND KERPINSKI WERE RIDING IN THE COUNTRY WHEN THEIR CAR
BROKE DOWN. FISHER ASKED A GAS STATION ATTENDANT, "HOW NANY
MILES BACK TO DETROIT?" "TWENTY," HE SAID. KERPINSKI SAID,
"WE HAD BETTER GET GOING, 20 MILES IS A LONG WAY TO WALK."
"THAT NOT BE SO MUCH," SAID FISHER. IT'S ONLY TEN MILES APIECE."
