SAMPLER WAS DATED 1912. THIS VERSE CAN ALSO BE FOUND ON PAGE 72
OF BRUNVAND "THE STUDY OF AMERICAN FOLKLORE", AS A SENTIMENTAL
VERSE IN AN AUTOGRAPH ALBUM.
