POETIC VERSE WITHOUT MUSIC

OH COME ALL YE BEATNICKS
AND LISTEN TO ME
DON'T PLAY YOUR GUITARS
UP IN THE TREE.
FOR THE BIRDS THEY WILL HEAR YOU,
AMD PECK OUT YOUR EYES
AND THEN THEY'LL DRIVE BLIND YOU
FROM UP IN THE SKIES.
YOU'LL TRY TO FIGHT THEM
BUT ALL IN VAIN
YOU'LL FALL TO THE GROUND
SCREAMING IN PAIN.
THE WOLF HE WILL SEE YOU,
AND POUNCE ON YOUR BACK
HE'LL SINK HIS TEETH IN YOU,
AND HOWL FOR THE PACK
THE PACK THEY WILL EAT YOU,
AND THEN THEY'LL GET SICK,
FOR NOTHING CAN STAND
TO EAT A BEATNICK.
