SHAMROCK BELIEF

THE SHAMROCK HAS BECOME ONE OF THE NATIONAL EMBLEMS OF IRELAND. THE FOUR-LEAFED VARIETY IS MUCH RARER AND IS SAID TO BE FOUND ONLY WHERE A MARE DROPS HER FIRST FOAL. IT IS BELIEVED TO HAVE SPECIAL POWERS.
