Mac OS Issue - Collaborate Cannot Access Camera / Microphone

If you are on a Mac OS and are having difficulty getting your camera or microphone to work in your web browser (a particular issue for Blackboard Collaborate) or other software, often a simple restart will resolve your issue.

If restarting your computer has not solved the problem, it may be that your operating system (particularly if you're on 10.15.5 or higher "Catalina") may be blocking Chrome or Firefox's access to the camera and / or microphone.
