GROUNDHOG (MOUNTAIN RECIPE)

FOR SHOESSTRINGS. PARBOIL WITH SPICEWOOD TWIGS (TO TAKE THE WILD
TASTE OUT) UNTIL TENDER. PEPPER AND PUT IN A GREASED PAN TO BAKE
UNTIL TENDER IN WATER CONTAINING TWO CARROTS, GARLIC, AND A PIECE
OF FAT MEAT.
