At the University of Detroit 1968 commencement May 4th, an honorary doctor of laws degree was given the Hon. Wade H. McCree, Jr. judge of the United States Circuit Court; and doctor of Humane Letters degrees to Dr. Manning M. Pattillo, president of the Foundation Library Center, and the Rev. Bernard Cooke, S.J., Marquette University, theology faculty chairman. The Very Rev. Malcolm Carron, S.J., U.of D. president conferred the degrees.
