Bio:
Joann Winiarski Pieronek. BSN Nursing 1961. As Dean of the Division of Nursing at Mercy College, Joann leads the largest nursing program in Michigan. She has planned and implemented the nursing degree completion program for the Extended Campus Program at Lansing, Port Huron, Grand Rapids, and Toledo. Designed specifically for the adult learner, the program uses innovative teaching strategies and has a counseling program for the adult learner.
The award was presented by Sr. Maureen A. Fay, O.P., President, Mercy College of Detroit on May 14, 1988.
