HOW CHEYBOYGAN GOT ITS NAME

MANY YEARS AGO IN THE CHEYBOYGAN, MICHIGAN, AREA THERE WAS AN
INDIAN WHO HAD TEN SONS. HE AND HIS WIFE WERE HOPING FOR A GIRL.
WHEN THE ELEVENTH CHILD WAS BORN THE INDIAN WENT INTO HIS TENT
AND ASKED IF THEY HAD FINALLY HAD A GIRL. "NO," SAID THE WIFE,
"SHE BOY AGAIN."
