When boys in elementary school wanted to boast about an
achievement, a high mark on a test or the teacher would
recognize him for something special, he would ball up a
fist, blow on it with his lips, then take the fist and
wipe or stroke his upper right side of the chest smiling.
This was symbolic to being important, having achieved
something special -- a way of getting peers' recognition.
