CENTURY OLD EGG
ON CERTAIN OCCASIONS SOME CHINESE PEOPLE EAT A FOOD CALLED CENTURY
OLD EGGS. THIS FOOD CONSISTS OF DUCKS' EGGS WHICH HAVE BEEN SOFT-
BOILED AND PACKED IN A CONTAINER WITH MUD, ASHES, AND SAWDUST FOR
100 DAYS. THE EGGS ARE THEN SOLD AT THIS POINT. THEY ARE EATEN AT
OCCASIONS SUCH AS WEDDINGS, FESTIVALS, AND CELEBRATIONS FOR GOOD
LUCK. THEY ARE REGARDED AS A DELICACY.
