Your leadership at Deere and Company has brought about real advances in world agricultural production circles. Through your strong support of cooperative education and industrial-academic partnership, you have directed many engineering students to a greater understanding of practical day-to-day business needs and methods. Elected to membership in the highly respected National Academy of Engineering, you are known as an engineer who puts technological skills to work for the betterment of many people. Your influence is felt daily far beyond the research center and the boardroom. Your Alma Mater, the University of Detroit, applauds your work and recognizes your outstanding accomplishments.
