Peace and Social Justice Floor, 4-West (University of Detroit Mercy, University Ministry)

The Peace and Social Justice Floor (affectionately known as Four West), located on the fourth floor of West Quad, is an active community where members gain from service, reflection, and meal events. The floor is definitely a unique place on campus to learn and grow in a community devoted to encountering issues of peace and social justice.

Amnesty International USA

Seeks to promote the human rights included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, focusing especially on prisoners of conscience, ending the death penalty, and combating torture.

Ignatian Solidarity Network

The Ignatian Solidarity Network's purpose is to facilitate and enhance the effectiveness of existing social justice and advocacy efforts that are currently present in Jesuit affiliated high schools, universities and colleges, parishes, retreat centers, independent organizations and lay individuals across the nation. The network serves as a means to connect, strengthen, and broaden communication among these already existing groups in order to better understand what it means to live and act upon "a faith that does justice."

Independent Media Center

Acts as a clearinghouse of information and provides up-to-theminute reports, photos, audio, and video footage of global social justice struggles.

A think tank on global issues from a social justice perspective.
