The Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is nationally recognized as the leading source of scholarly research and current data about American women’s political participation. Its mission is to promote greater knowledge and understanding about women's participation in politics and government and to enhance women's influence and leadership in public life.

Founded in 2000 at the American University the Women & Politics Institute is a leading center for scholarly research on women and politics and political leadership trainings.

League of Women Voters : Making Democracy Work

"The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, has fought since 1920 to improve U.S. systems of government and impact public policies through citizen education and advocacy. The League is a grassroots organization, working at the national, state and local levels. It neither supports nor opposes candidates for office at any level of government. At the same time, the League is wholeheartedly political and works to influence policy through advocacy.
