SIR WALTER RALEIGH LEGEND
A LEGEND AMONG PIPE SMOKERS THAT WAS PASSED ON TO MY BROTHER
INVOLVES A TEST GIVEN TO SIR WALTER RALEIGH.
RALEIGH WAS ASKED TO GUESS THE WEIGHT OF PIPE SMOKE
FROM A SINGLE BOWL OF TOBACCO. HE ASTOUNDED EVERYONE BY SIMPLY
WEIGHING THE TOBACCO BEFORE SMOKING IT AND THE ASHES AFTER HE WAS
DONE.
