JIM TELLS ME THAT IN FOSTORIA, OHIO, THERE IS A
GRAVEYARD WITH A TOMBSTONE IN WHICH FACES APPEAR. IT
SEEMS THAT THE WOMAN DIED IN MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES,
AND THE LOCAL PEOPLE DON'T QUITE ACCEPT THE LEGAL
ACQUITTAL OF HER HUSBAND. THE BELIEF IS THAT HE STRANGLED
HER.
WELL, THE HUSBAND DIED LATER ON AND HE WAS BURIED NEXT TO
HIS WIFE. THEY HAD A HUGE MARBLE TOMBSTONE FOR THE TWO OF
THEM.
THE LEGEND IS THAT IF YOU GO THERE WHEN THE MOON IS FULL,
YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE A PICTURE IN THE TOMBSTONE OF THE MAN
STRANGLING HIS WIFE.
JIM TELLS ME THAT PEOPLE ARE REALLY SUPPOSED TO HAVE SEEN
THIS, BUT HE CLAIMS THAT HE DOESN'T BELIEVE IT.
HOWEVER, HE AND SOME FRIENDS WENT UP THERE ONCE, JUST FOR
THE HECK OF IT, AND SOME STRANGE THINGS DID HAPPEN. BY
LOOKING AT THE MARBLE LONG ENOUGH, HE SAYS THAT EVENTUALLY
YOU COULD SEE THE FACES BUT HE FIGURES THAT THEY ARE CAUSED
BY THE SWIRLS IN THE MARBLE. THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO STAY
THERE TOO LONG BECAUSE A SILENT, HOODED FIGURE SLINKED
FROM BEHIND A TREE AND TRIED TO ATTACK THEM WITH A KNIFE.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, THEY HIGHTAILED IT.
