THE DISAPPEARING ACT
IN ENGLAND, MANY YEARS AGO, A CHURCH SOCIAL WAS TAKING PLACE
AND EVERYONE WAS INVOLVED IN PLAYING GAMES. MOST OF THE MEN WERE
PLAYING RUGBY ON A HUGE FIELD. ONE MAN KICKED THE BALL INTO
A FAR CORNER OF THE FIELD AND WENT AFTER IT. HE STARTED TO RUN
AFTER THE BALL AND THAT IS THE LAST ANYONE SAW OF HIM. PEOPLE
THOUGHT THAT HE MIGHT HAVE FALLEN INTO A DITCH OR A HOLE BUT THEY
WENT TO LOOK FOR HIM AND COULD FIND NOTHING AND TO THIS DAY THEY
STILL COULD NEVER FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM.

DOG-LIKE CREATURE
WHILE GOING HOME FROM THE MILL, MY GRANDFATHER HAD TO
CROSS A BRIDGE OVER A RIVER. WHILE ON THE BRIDGE, A
DOG-LIKE CREATURE CLIMBED FROM UNDERNEATH THE BRIDGE,
HIS EYES GLEAMED IN THE MOONLIGHT. THE CREATURE SLOWLY
FOLLOWED BEHIND. THE WAGON WAS SPEEDED UP BUT STILL
THE CREATURE FOLLOWED CLOSELY BEHIND. EVERYTHING
REMAINED THE SAME THRU THE ENTIRE NIGHT. SOON MORNING
WAS COMING AND AS MY GRANDFATHER TURNED FOR THE LAST
TIME HE SAW THE CREATURE DISAPPEAR RIGHT IN FRONT OF
HIS EYES. IT WAS THEN HE NOTICED THAT THE SUN HAD
JUST RISEN.
Submitter comment:
THIS IS A STORY TOLD TO MY MOTHER (THE INFORMANT BY
HER FATHER). ACCORDING TO HER, HER FATHER SEEMED TO
BELIEVE IN WHAT HE SAID, EVEN UP TO THE POINT OF
SWEARING TO THE TRUTH OF THE STORY.

ON AGES OF VAMPIRES
VAMPIRES NEVER SHOW AGING PHYSICALLY. THEY ALWAYS LOOK THE SAME
AS THE DAY THEY BECAME VAMPIRES, AND WILL SHOW
THEIR TRUE AGE WHEN THEY ARE DESTROYED.
