Bio:
Dr. Alfred E. Seyler received his D.D.S. from Marquette University Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1934 and received a Certificate for Life Membership in the American Dental Association. He was made and Honorary Alumni of the Year by the School of Dentistry.
The School of Dentistry created the Alfred E. Seyler Award for excellence in pediatric dentistry to be given to a student graduate.
In the Daytona Beach Morning Journal, February 25, 1967 newspaper there is note of an “Ask the Dentist” column. The column explains “The Volusia County Dental Society, The News-Journal papers, and Dr. Alfred E. Seyler, professor of clinical dentistry at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, are cooperating to produce a regular series of articles concerning dental health.”
An article “Dentistry’s Obligation” by Dr. Seyler was published in the December 1946 issue of Ticoniuum (TIC); a July 1977 article “The Role of a Dental Editor in Public Relations appeared in TIC.
The date of his retirement and the year Dr. Seyler was awarded Professor Emeritus status are unknown.
