Bio:

Dr. Chester Perry joined the University of Detroit, Department of Prosthodontics in 1939 as an Instructor and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 1947.  He earned his D.D.S. from the University of Michigan in 1932. 

He was a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, a Deputy Supreme Grand Master PiPi Chapter Delta Sigma Delta, President of the Council of Deputies Delta Sigma Delta, and President of the American Denture Society.

 In an April 1962 issue of Journal of the American Dental Association, Dr. Perry’s article “Printed Literature for Denture Patients” was published.  A University of Detroit Faculty Newsletter noted “In the article, Dr. Perry discusses the need for, and possible forms of, literature to be given to the patients when starting the case and also upon completion of the cases.

At a formal initiation ceremony for newly elected member to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, national honorary dentistry society of the University of Detroit, Dr. Perry received a special key of recognition.  Also, the School named him an Honorary Alumnus.

Dr. Perry contributed articles to the Year Book of Dentistry, Journal of Michigan State Dental Society, Dental Digest, and Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
