Honorary Doctor of Science

Citation:

Bachelor of Arts of Boston College, Master of Arts and Bachelor of Sacred Theology of the Catholic University of America, who, for the past ten years as Superintendent of Schools of the Archdiocese of Detroit, has been charged with the responsibility of directing the education of 100,000 children of our Catholic school system, and has by his administrative ability, enterprise and broad vision, brought that system to a high degree of efficiency and excellence, achieving in particular a new and effective method of instruction in religion in the elementary grades, and an advantageous arrangement for providing vocational training to our high school students; is recommended for the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science in Education.
