Mercy College of Detroit proudly awards the Mercy Medallion to Rev. Monsignor Clement H. Kern (posthumously) for his long and tireless commitment and service to Detroit and its people, especially its poor, for supporting social justice for all, and for being a symbol of hope to the hopeless, to those who are called to serve them, and to all of God’s people.
Award was presented at the Works of Mercy Dinner September 15, 1983 by Maureen A. Fay, O.P., President, Mercy College of Detroit and Thomas V. Angott, Chairman of the MCD Board of Trustees and President of Pure Milk Co.
