Tower Award

1967

Bio:

Mr. Jack W. Teubert is a Sales Representative associated with the Rich-Wing Corporation, a manufacturers’ agency with offices in Birmingham, Michigan.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit in 1932, and did post graduate work in the University of Detroit, School of Law.  Mr. Teubert was elected president of the University of Detroit Alumni Association for the 1957-58 year, and served as a member of the Board of Directors for six years.

A partial list of Mr. Teubert’s associations follow:  Secretary-Treasurer of the Twenty-Five Club; Vice President and Acting President in 1964 of the Gus Dorais Memorial Foundation; Member of the Metropolitan Alumni Club; Alpha Sigma Nu (National Jesuit Honor Society); Alpha Kappa Psi (National Professional Business Fraternity); Vice President and Director of the Birmingham Optimist Club; and through the years has been very active in civic, professional and cultural enterprises in the Birmingham-Royal Oak communities.

Mr. Teubert is a World War II U.S. Army Veteran, on active duty from 1942 to 1946.  He was honorably discharged as a Captain in the First Cavalry Division.

Prior to his present position, he was an Assistant to the Vice President of Finance of Chrysler Corporation, and served as Chairman of the Finance Committee.  He has always had great compassion for his Alma Mater, and through the years he has acted and reacted with great sincerity and personal dedication, making himself available for any assignment that the University or Alumni Board requested of him.  At the present time Mr. Teubert makes his residence in Royal Oak, Michigan.  The Alumni Association is very pleased to have this opportunity to properly honor Jack Teubert, a great gentleman who has avoided the spotlight over the years…always working behind the scenes with dignity and hard work.

The Tower Award was presented on November 26, 1967.
