Under his leadership he propelled the University of Detroit to a position of national prominence for its educational quality and value. He did so deliberately giving great thought to advancing the University on many levels, whether by re-establishing the core curriculum or by motivating supporters to increase their giving to an all-time high. He is recognized for the many accomplishments of the university under his tenure and for his role as co-architect of the consolidation which brought together two very fine Catholic institutions to become one premier University. Father’s leadership and influence and his dedication to the ideals of the Society of Jesus extend beyond the campus.
