Sharp, Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine of the University of Kansas, formerly Lieutenant Commander in the Medical Department of the United States Navy, who by his intellectual honesty and acumen, and his indefatigable application, has become a leader in the field of scientific medicine, and has won the esteem of his profession; constant champion of scientific research, not only by his fertile investigations in the field of endocrinology, but also by organizing, directing and evaluating the medical researches of others; nationally recognized in particular as the developer of an effective remedy for the disease of anemia, is recommended for the degree of Doctor of Science, honoris causa, and to be placed on the roll of those whom the University of Detroit has deemed worthy of special recognition.
