Citation:

Upon Fred Warren Green, Governor of the State of Michigan, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Laws, for that during a life of active interest in secular enterprises he has found time to be a part of and promote the organization of the national defense and be engaged in the military service of the State from the rank of a private to that of a Brigadier-General; and for that in his personal and official life he has been devoted especially to the betterment of the condition of the dependent, defective and delinquent members of society, the University of Detroit confers the Degree of Doctor of Laws for the sake of honor. Commencement, University of Detroit, June 14, 1929.
