Academic son with highest honors of Colorado College and of Columbia University, member of Phi Beta Kappa and recipient of Columbia's Distinguished Alumni Service Medal; who by his energy, leadership and executive ability has in the field of personnel work and public relations greatly advanced constructive programs of industrial, social, moral and religious welfare in various sections of the country; who in particular, during the past seven years as founder and indefatigable president of the Economic Club of Detroit, has notably contributed to the civic and cultural prestige of the city, and promoted a fuller participation in the study and discussion of national and international problems. Is recommended for the degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, and to be placed on the roll of those whom the University of Detroit has deemed worthy of special recognition.
