Bio:
Ms. Praet earned a Bachelor of Science in Personnel Administration (1978) and a Master of Business Administration with emphasis in Organizational and Behavioral Studies and Marketing (1980) from University of Detroit. She was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Distinguished Academic Performance for three years in the College of Business and Administration. Recognizing a University administrator who possesses and exhibits outstanding qualities and a commitment to the success in the university’s future, Ms. Praet was honored with the 2013 with the University Commitment to Excellence Award.

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Pamela Zarkowski, in the retirement booklet described well Ms. Praet’s contribution to the success of the University. “Diane’s knowledge and expertise have set the gold standard. As AVP and Registrar, she led the office with unparalleled professionalism, integrity, and style. Her contributions are countless, from answering student questions to organizing commencement ceremonies. Diane never hesitated to stand her ground, even when it meant telling the Provost ‘No, you can’t do that!’ She was always quick to lend a hand, whether helping me with a task or supporting a colleague or student. I feel truly blessed to have worked alongside her and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from her dedication and wisdom.’
