Judge Rashid received a Tower Award in recognition of his work as an instructor in criminal law in U. of D.'s School of law for the past 19 years; for being a member of the Executive Committee of the President's Cabinet for the last four years; and for being the honorary first vice president of ALSAC, an organization dedicated to the care, cure and treatment of leukemia stricken children at St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Judge Rashid is a 1936 graduate of the University of Detroit College of Liberal Arts and a 1938 graduate of the School of Law.
