Bio:
Attended U of D School of Commerce & Finance. Played basketball and baseball for U of D. Pitched 12 years of professional baseball including the 1950 World Series games for the Philadelphia Phillies. Became Assistant Baseball Coach at U of D in 1963 and Head Coach in 1965. Earned 310 victories in his 16 years of coaching for U of D with a 33-15 finish last year. Also employed with New England Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Award was presented at the Annual Alumni Reunion Dinner Dance, Saturday, October 21, 1978.
