Dr. Joseph E. Kutz, is a pioneer of modern reconstructive surgery. A graduate of the University of Detroit and the University of Michigan Medical School, he specializes in hand surgery and has developed many of the current techniques used to replant and reconstruct amputated hands and fingers. His innovations have gained international renown and he is sought for consultation by surgeons around the world. Dr. Kutz presently serves on the staff of a dozen hospitals and is Chief of the Department of Surgery at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He has authored numerous professional articles and lectured at medical schools and hospitals from Israel to Japan. Dr. Kutz is one of American's foremost surgeons whose work has contributed to the progress of medicine.
