Eppert was made president of Burroughs Corporation in 1958, chairman of the board and chief executive office in 1966. He retired from active se4rvice in 1967. He is a member of the board of director of the Michigan Bell Telephone Company, Michigan Consolidated Gas Company and Cunningham Drug Stores, Inc. He is president of the Detroit Medical Center Development Corporation, chairman of the board of trustees of Harper Hospital and a trustee or director of 25 national and international organizations. In 1962 he was awarded the Cross of Chevalier, French Legion of Honor. In 1966 Her Majesty The Queen appointed him an honorary Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Mr. Eppert holds honorary degrees from Hillsdale College, Western Michigan University, Detroit Institute of Technology, and Michigan State University.
