The University of Detroit salutes you as one of Detroit’s most prominent boosters who had displayed an unwavering commitment to the community through your unselfish commitment of time and talents to numerous civic organizations, including serving on the boards of the Boy Scouts of America, Detroit Symphony Orchestra and New Detroit. You are active with the Detroit Institute of Arts Founders Society and the United Foundation, and are also a former chairperson of the Detroit Chamber of Commerce. As founder and president of PR Associates Inc., you have demonstrated your business talents and drive by buildings your public relations firm from modest beginnings into one of Michigan largest and most successful. Your leadership and professionalism have been duly recognized as your agency has earned numerous of honors, including the prestigious Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America. You continue to play an important role in the business community through your membership on the boards of the Economic Club of Detroit, the Metropolitan Detroit Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Detroit Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Your expertise in the communications profession has been recognized through your selection in 1982 as Detroit’s Advertising Woman of the Year by Adcraft Club of Detroit and as Communications Headliner of the Year by the Detroit Chapter of Women in Communications. We believe your many achievement s and contributions to the community are noteworthy, and the University of Detroit is proud to honor you with The President’s Cabinet Award.
