Upon the Honorable Arthur Webster, Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan, scholastic son of our sister University of Michigan, for that during a useful life devoted to the profession of the law, he marked his career as a practitioner as a devoted apostle of its ethics; as a judge by the correct and humane application of the principles and enactments of the common and statutory law, and by conservative and useful studies for the improvement of the system of trial by jury, the University of Detroit confers, for the sake of honor, its degree of Doctor of Laws.
