Through more than 35 years of extensive dental education and service to the profession, you have distinguished yourself as an exceptional dental educator, administrator, researcher, teacher and clinician. You have earned international renown as an outstanding educator through your lectures before major dental groups and other professional organizations. You have also shared your extensive knowledge and expertise through your profile writings, which comprise more than 70 publications in leading professional journals, manuals and graduate education program curricula. Your commitment to excellence has been acknowledged through achievement awards from Northwestern University, Howard University, First District Dental Society of New York, the American Dental Association, the National Dental Association and many others. You are widely recognized among your colleagues for your consultation and participation on dozens of national committees, advisory councils, and scientific and professional organizations. Your contributions as a tireless advocate for women and minorities in the profession are exemplary. Your progressive vision has opened doors for countless men and women to become tomorrow's leaders in dentistry and public health.
