Graduate Certificate in Applied Data Analytics

This 15 credit-hour (five-course) graduate certificate is designed to provide hands-on training in the area of applied data analytics. Coursework focuses on development of knowledge and skills in critical reasoning, measurement development and evaluation, data management, data analytic software utilization, multivariate data analysis and modeling, and data mining techniques.

The curriculum explores current topics in data analytics, such as quantitative methods, business and financial statistics, emerging ideas and technologies, big data, business forecasting and data mining. The skill set learned will allow students to sift through mountains of data to extract simple relationships and make valuable inferences. Students will be able to apply their skills to make data-informed decisions and to identify new opportunities for the organization. Upon earning the certificate, students will be armed with various technologies that support effective business decision making in today's increasingly competitive environment.

The Applied Data Analytics Graduate Certificate program is offered online and on campus through the Department of Economics in the College of Liberal Arts & Education. Courses from this certificate program can be applied to the Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics.
