CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

A FEW DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS A GROUP OF PEOPLE MAKE THEIR ROUNDS FROM
HOUSE TO HOUSE, SINGING AND EXTENDING CHRISTMAS GREETINGS. THIS
GROUP CONSISTS OF A GHOST, REPRESENTING THE HOLY GHOST, A DEVIL,
THREE MEN CARRYING THE CHILD, REPRESENTING THE THREE WISE MEN, AND
THE CENTER OF THE GROUP, A MAN DRESSED IN AN OLD SHEEPSKIN COAT CALLED
THE KUBA ZUBA.

Submitter comment:

This was collected 12-25-66 from my parents who were remembering how Christmas was celebrated when they were young.
