When you find a wooly caterpillar in the
summer you should always pick it up and look
at it because it will foretell the weather
that coming winter. There is a black band
around its middle. If the band is pretty
small there will be a mild winter. But the
larger the band the more harsh and the longer
the winter will be.

know if there was any biological truth to this.

and then stamp your palm where your thumb was with
your left fist. This is supposed to bring you
good luck for the rest of the year.
