WHEN THE LEAVES OF YOUR ALBUM
ARE YELLOW WITH AGE,
AND THE NAME I WROTE ON THIS PAGE IS DIM,
STILL THINK OF ME KINDLY AND DO NOT FORGET,
THAT WHEREVER I AM,
I REMEMBER YOU YET.

POEM
MAY YOUR PATH BE STRUED WITH FLOWERS
WELCOME BE ON EVERY SIDE
MAY YOUR HOME BE VERY HAPPY
MAY NO SORROWS ENTER THERE
MAY SWEET ROSES BLOOM AROUND YOU
AND LOVE GREET YOU EVERYWHERE
MAY YOUR FRIENDS BE MOST FAITHFUL
AND NO THOUGHTLESS WORD IMPLANT
THAT WOULD MAKE YOU FEEL UNHAPPY
OR WOULD WOUND YOUR KINDER HEART

APPRECIATION OF FRIENDS
IT IS EVIDENT THROUGHOUT OUR LIVES,
HOW SWEET AND SOUR OUR LIVES CAN BE.
BUT IF WE COULD LOVE AS WELL AS WE HATE,
WHAT FEW TROUBLES WOULD BE LEFT TO SEE.
FOR JOYS WOULD RESULT WITH NO SORROWS FELT,
THUS LEAVING OUR HEARTS SO EASY TO MELT.

WRITTEN VERSE
HAD I THE HEAVEN'S EMBRIODERD CLOTHS,
ENWROUGHT WITH GOLDEN AND SILVER LIGHT,
THE BLUE AND THE DIM AND THE DARK CLOTHS,
OF NIGHT AND LIGHT AND THE HALF LIGHT,
I WOULD SPREAD THE CLOTHS UNDER YOUR FEET,
BUT I, BEING POOR, HAVE ONLY MY DREAMS;
I HAVE SPREAD MY DREAMS UNDER YOUR FEET,
TREAD SOFTLY, BECAUSE YOU TREAD ON MY DREAMS.
