THE INFORMANT FIRST HEARD THIS WEATHER PREDICTOR IN POLAND AROUND
1910. TO THE COLLECTOR, IT SEEMS COMMON SENSE, SINCE IF YOU CAN
SEE THE STARS, THEN THERE ARE NO CLOUDS. IF THERE ARE NO CLOUDS
NO RAIN CAN BE PRODUCED. HOWEVER, THE INFORMANT HAD A VERY
STRONG CONVICTION THAT THIS THEORY WAS INFALLIBLE.
