MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR WITH AN APRON ON. ANYONE
AT THE WEDDING CAN GO UP AND PUT SOME MONEY IN THE
APRON AND DANCE WITH THE BRIDE.

AT A ROMANIAN WEDDING RECEPTION YOU MUST PAY MONEY
TO DANCE WITH THE BRIDE. THE MONEY IS THEN
COLLECTED AND GIVEN TO THE YOUNG COUPLE TO BUY
FURNISHINGS.

A YOUNG COUPLE SELDOM HAD VERY MUCH MONEY AND THIS
WAS A WAY TO GET SOME. SHE SAID, HOWEVER, THAT SHE
HAS SEEN THIS CUSTOM AT MANY AMERICAN-ROMANIAN
WEDDINGS, WHERE IT IS DONE SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS A
TRADITION.

A DANCE WITH THE BRIDE, HE PLACES SOME MONEY IN
THIS DISH. THE BRIDE AND GROOM THEN, KEEP ALL
THIS MONEY. A POLISH WEDDING USED TO LAST FOR TWO
DAYS, THE SECOND DAY'S GUESTS WERE INVITED BACK
FOR LEFTOVERS.
